Hope House

Hope House is an orphanage situated in Harrismith, in the Free State Province of South Africa.

As a founding member and active participant in the growth and development of Hope House, Chavani has been involved in this life-changing project since its inception, and will remain a strong financial backbone for the institution for the foreseeable future. This is only one of the many ways Chavani takes pride in committing to our core values and our goal to improve the quality of life for all South Africans.

Established in 2004 after the renovation of an unused hostel, Hope House has been addressing the issue of abandoned and uncared-for orphans for nearly 10 years. According to UNICEF, there are currently over 1.1 million orphans in South Africa. While many are looked after by friends, family or similar institutions, far too many are still not receiving the help and care they need to live their deservingly fulfilling lives.

In contrast to the exponential need for orphanages and places of safety, not only in South Africa, but on a global scale, efficient institutions like Hope House are increasingly becoming very rare and at Chavani we believe that every abandoned child or orphan needs to be given the opportunity, love and support to become a great contributor to society and human being in general.

Improving the quality of life for all South Africans has to begin somewhere, and for Chavani, Hope House will always be a symbol of hope for what can be achieved. The commitment, care and dedication of the care givers at Hope House will continue to be an inspiration to all of us and Chavani is very proud to be an active participant in this worthy establishment.
